Conservatory, orangery or home extension?
Most conservatories are predominantly made of glass, ideal if you want to want to appreciate the view around the structure. A conservatory isn’t intended to look as though it’s an original feature of a house, more of an accompaniment to the property.
This is where an orangery differs. Its design will exhibit traits of the house where it lives, giving the impression that it’s always been there. There’s also a greater volume of brickwork used to construct an orangery, making it look a more solid structure than a conservatory.
