The Watsons decided to renovate and completely transform the rear of their property. To solve their pain points and create their dream space, we designed and installed a breathtaking full-width contemporary orangery that would provide them – and their family – with the space they so desperately needed.

Full-Width Orangery with Twin Roof Lanterns and Eclipse Bi-Folding Doors
A much-loved family home gets a modern and award-winning makeover.
With a home that was becoming increasingly impractical and short on space, this couple had two options: move or renovate.
Wanting to help with childcare by looking after their grandchildren, the Watsons needed a modern space for everyone to enjoy. This meant a substantial amount of work. Their home had an old polycarbonate conservatory and a separate kitchen extension, neither of which were suitable areas for young children.
After speaking with other parties, the Watsons were blown away by our design ideas. Collectively, we drew up plans for a full-width orangery with two glazed roof lanterns and Eclipse bi-folding doors that transformed the rear of their property.
The lanterns were a distinct feature of the design and add bundles of character to the property.
Alongside their visual appeal, they were specifically chosen as they allow a great deal of natural light into the space. Fitted with solar-controlled glazing, they work to keep the area at a comfortable temperature all year round – unlike their old, inefficient conservatory.
Work on the entire renovation took four months and was completed on time and in full.
Best of all, by finishing the work per our agreed plan, this allowed the couple to host their son’s wedding reception in their brand-new, Clearview-delivered orangery.
Alongside the thanks of the Watsons and their family, this design and build received a special commendation in the GGP Installer Awards – the UK’s leading awards ceremony for the home improvement sector.
This was a real family-orientated project that we loved delivering. It was clear from the outset that the house meant a great deal for the Watsons and by working with us, we were able to deliver a multi-purpose space for dining, relaxing and entertaining that once again allowed the home to become the heart of their extended family.
