After becoming fed up of annoying draughts invading their living areas and the subsequent expensive energy bills, plus the diminished aesthetics of their windows, brand new pure white UPVC windows were a priority for the owner of this attractive modern residence. The commissioning of the window design only went ahead once the hardware had been settled on; including the attachment of key operated gold-plated handles that keep the windows firmly secure. Improved security is complemented by the enhanced energy efficiency and newly stylish aesthetics that the windows provide.
On the face of it, this replacement window project demanded a relatively straightforward fitting of pretty standard UPVC windows, but notice the small arch of glass in the top window projection and the bay window downstairs. The arch was specially crafted into the design so that it complements the arched brickwork surrounding it and because of how it pitches outwards, the bay window allows natural light to enter into the living space from various angles and adds spaciousness internally. No more so than when the gold plated handles are unlocked and twisted open to push the two side openings free. The pretty blind can be pulled to minimise sun exposure though the bay window during the day.
