Hardwood windows and doors used to be the norm but they would quickly become weather beaten and offered very little thermal efficiency. You can’t deny though that the natural effect of wood is charming. UPVC woodgrain effect windows resolve the problem as they’re indistinguishable from timber looks-wise and surpass its thermal performance. The Golden Oak finish is particularly reminiscent of natural wood and was the favoured colour choice for this window and door installation. Virtually the entire house was given a Golden Oak facelift.
French doors sit in the bedroom area so that the external views can be admired first thing, and the main entrance way now has a new composite door which we imagine will command plenty of attention. When you zoom into the detailing on the window frame you really see how brilliantly it imitates timber and how expertly the authentic styled hardware suits the overall design of each window and door.
A further two pairs of French doors have also been integrated into the rear of the property to make the patio and garden more accessible from the house. You could argue though that the made to measure UPVC window on the upper floor at the front of the property steals the show, a meticulously crafted design.
