WHY ULTRAROOF FROM CLEARVIEW
The Ultraroof from Clearview Home Improvements has been designed with exceptional performance in mind. Its clever modular design ensures improved ventilation and air flow, which allows the roof to breathe and prevents condensation. With an unbeatable U-value, the Ultraroof will keep the temperature of your room regulated so it feels wonderfully comfortable whatever the weather outside. The result? Like a cosy, breathable duvet over your new living space.
Perfect replacement conservatory roof...
If you already have a conservatory you can minimise the cost of revamping it with an UltraRoof by replacing the roof only, and having it installed on top of the existing windows, doors and base. Existing windows and doors will, in most cases, be in a suitable condition to remain in-situ, but we will perform all the necessary checks as a matter of course.
It takes less time than you think to fit an UltraRoof onto a conservatory and, once the old roof has been removed, a watertight covering can be achieved within the space of 2-3 hours and the whole roof can often be completed within one working day. Upon completion, you’ll notice the improvement in room temperature almost immediately.
UltraRoof for new build solid roof conservatories...
Many people now choose to improve and expand their home to make it more suitable for their lifestyle, rather than moving to a completely new property. Fitting an UltraRoof to a new build project is one of the simplest and quickest stages of the process and will reduce overall build time significantly, as well as the disruption caused to you.
Because every UltraRoof is factory-made and pre-assembled during quality control, there is very little excess material and waste created on-site, and our installers can create a watertight room in just one day, meaning that internal plastering and decorating can also begin much sooner.
Being an approved system means that UltraRoof is recognised by local authorities...
UltraRoof is an LABC (Local Authority Building Control) and LABSS (Local Authority Building Standards Scotland) approved roof system which, put simply, means that it will be much easier to receive Building Regulations approval, should your project require it. Our design consultants will be able to talk you through the ins-and-outs of building regulations and, in many instances, we will be able to act as an intermediary to obtain Building Regulations approval on your behalf.
Being an approved system means that UltraRoof is recognised by local authorities as a safe and suitable building product for many types of application, and this therefore offers a fast-track route to plans being accepted. The topic of Building Regulations can often sound more complicated than it actually is – in reality, we will do most of the work on your behalf so that your replacement or new build project complies with legislation and doesn’t pose you any problems in the future.
Offering comfortable room temperature all year round...
One of the foremost reasons why so many homeowners invest in solid roof conservatories is to achieve a more thermally efficient room that offers a comfortable room temperature regardless of the outdoor weather. Older conservatories fitted with a polycarbonate roof are the best example of how the room can be too cold to use in winter, and too hot to use in summer.
Glass conservatory roofs go a long way towards solving this problem and are far better at controlling the movement of heat that is allowed in and out of a room but, unquestionably, the best solution is a solid roof like UltraRoof. Capable of achieving an enviable u-value (heat loss value) of just 0.16 W/m²K, UltraRoof is one of the most thermally efficient, lightweight roofing systems available. And, what’s more, large rectangular glass panels can be incorporated in the design to facilitate overhead natural light and views of the skies above.
Innovative glazing
If you choose to include glazed sections in your UltraRoof design, we recommend choosing from our performance glass range so that the innate intelligence of the solid roof sections are matched by innovative glazing that also controls the transfer of heat to offer excellent thermal efficiency. Generally, there are four factors to consider when choosing a glass type:
Tint – despite the fact that all of our glass options are fully transparent, each one has a slightly different colour or ‘tint’. The subtle tint of the glass can often make a big difference to the internal ambience of the room.
U-Value – this is the measure of internal heat loss. The lower the number, the greater the level of insulation provided by the glass.
Solar Heat Reflection – this is the percentage of total solar energy (heat from the sun) that is prevented from passing through the glass into a room.
Light Transmission – this is the percentage of visible light that is directly transmitted through the glass.
Hybrid Ultraroof
For added light and a feeling of space, our Hybrid Ultraroof is designed with true flexibility in mind. Again suitable for both replacement and new-build projects, our clever modular system allows you to incorporate full-length glass panels into your design. For the best of both worlds, you can still maintain a cosy internal temperature, but also enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the sky.
FINISH YOUR ULTRAROOF OFF IN STYLE
Clearview has a carefully selected range of finishing touches for Ultraroof conservatory, including various attractive colours and rugged tile options.
We offer two distinct tile solutions
The lightweight tile we supply for conservatories and orangeries is way lighter than a traditional roofing material and needs hardly any maintenance.
Ideal for designs with a low-pitched roof, our lightweight slates are a fantastic alternative to a traditional slate roof and have a more timeless look.
Replace your old window frames too
Some companies only give you access to a very small choice of coloured finishes for their UPVC conservatories, but Clearview has a high quantity of them available.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy, from Chartwell Green to Hazy Grey. You will be blown away by quite how many colour options there are.
All our powder coated aluminium finishes are of the highest quality, and are fade resistant...
The 11-stage powder coating process that contemporary Aluminium is subject to, induces strong paint adhesions and results in a true colour which is sheer quality to the look and touch.
Similarly contemporary Aluminium woodgrain finishes benefit from a unique process known as sublimation which results in Walnut, Rosewood or Oak appearances which are utterly convincing and second only to real wood itself.
Light it up...
It’s so important to consider how much natural light your new room will let in. The Ultraroof can incorporate Velux windows for added light and ventilation, or for even more light and a feeling of space, full length glass panels can be seamlessly integrated right where you want them. You can even design your roof with integrated LED lights for that all-important finish.
Beautiful window handles for your frames…
Our craftspeople put an immense amount of time, effort, and detail into all our traditional and contemporary-styled handles, and you will get a kick out of using them when closing and opening your windows.
The windows will be securely fastened when locked due to the in-built secure locking system.
