What Is A FENSA Accreditation?

Clearview is held in very high esteem by the home improvement industry and this has been recognised by several important organisational bodies. We’re proud to hold several important accreditations and this includes the much coveted FENSA (Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme) accreditation.

White Bay Windows

You will likely have come across the FENSA logo on the promotional material of any home improvement companies you are considering appointing for some type of work, but may not necessarily know what it represents.

Background to FENSA

The Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme (FENSA) was established by the Glass and Glazing Federation in 2002 and its purpose is to regulate firms within the industry to ensure that they are meeting the necessary standard and satisfying Building Regulations.

We were granted FENSA membership several years ago, but only after we had been thoroughly scrutinised in several high pressure assessments and proved that we have the all-round skillset that customers deserve.

FENSA continue to monitor us on a regular basis and if they uncover that our standards have dipped below their expectations, there is the possibility of our membership being revoked. Thankfully, that hasn’t happened as we’re committed to meeting, and in fact, exceeding FENSA’s exacting standards.

FENSA certificates

Any customer who uses a FENSA member for a window / door installation receives a FENSA certificate at the conclusion of the work – something that has been issued since April 2002.

This certificate symbolises that any windows / doors fitted have been installed to the industry standard.

It should be kept in a safe place when handed to you as when selling the property you will need to pass it onto the new occupier as proof that the windows / door installation is up to scratch.

If the certificate is misplaced you can get a replacement sent to you. It can be ordered here and will set you back £20.

Insurance Backed Guarantee

A further benefit of choosing a FENSA-backed company is that you also get an Insurance Backed Guarantee once the work has been done.

An Insurance Backed Guarantee is great for peace of mind as it means that should your chosen installer go out of business within 10 years of the project concluding, you will be covered for any problems that arise.

Keep it Clearview

Factor in all the above and you can see it makes perfect sense to give Clearview your backing to do the best job possible. We’d be very happy to give you a FREE no obligation quote.
