Clearview Supports World Record Attempt

Clearview has agreed to sponsor a World Record attempt for the most players in an Exhibition Hockey Match.

Taking place on the 21st of May at the UCLAN arena in Preston, a team of adjudicators, volunteers and umpires will judge this exciting attempt to smash the current world record.

The number to beat stands at 257, achieved by Otago Hockey (New Zealand) in Dunedin, New Zealand, on 15 April 2016, undertaken as a community activity, which featured local school players, as well as past and present club players, and supporters of the club.

We are sponsoring the attempt, covering pitch hire, team kits, a large timing clock, and filming at the event.

The event day will see a make-up of players from all over the North West with individuals from Liverpool to Blackpool helping to achieve the goal.

This attempt will also help to raise funds for St Catherine’s hospice, a local charity helping those affected by serious illness, as well as bringing the Hockey family together in the area and publicising the sport.

Our sales director Gary Oakes said: “We’re really pleased to be able to get behind this world record attempt and sponsor a local event that not only will raise the profile of Hockey locally, but in doing so, support an amazing charity that make a difference to so many lives.”
