A Message To All Of Our Customers At Clearview Home Improvements
As you’ll no doubt be aware, the impact of COVID-19 on our lives over the past 18 months or so has been immeasurable.
Spending more time at home with our families has changed the way we live and work and has really challenged us all to reassess what’s important. Consequently, the home improvement industry globally has experienced an unprecedented surge in demand, which has impacted our market conditions in two ways:
Shortage of Supply
Overwhelming demand for construction products across the globe since the easing of the COVID lockdown restrictions has left many resources in short supply with much longer than usual lead times. Basic building materials such as cement, timber, steel and paints are heavily restricted, along with composite door slabs, UPVC profile and other components. This makes it much harder for Clearview to manage our supply chain and forward-plan our fitting requirements.
Price Rises
Global shipping costs have risen sharply due a shortage of empty containers from COVID-19-related issues. This coupled with overwhelming demand has meant the vast majority of raw materials and components involved in construction have seen significant price rises. This ultimately makes our products more costly to manufacture.
Neither of these challenges are exclusive to Clearview – in fact all home improvement and construction companies, large and small, have been hit hard. But please rest assured that everyone at Clearview is working round the clock to minimise the impact of these challenges on your experience with us.
Due to the current complexity of our supply chain, naturally there will be occasions where things don’t go 100% to plan first time. However, we pride ourselves on following every single challenge through to a positive conclusion and will always make decisions that we believe are in the best interests of your project.
We really do care, and our sole aim is to deliver your project at the earliest convenience without compromising the quality of our product or workmanship. With this in mind we would kindly ask for your patience and understanding whilst we navigate the ever changing market conditions to deliver a product that you’re happy with, and that will ultimately enhance your home for you and your family.
